Additional Pictures of a Fifth Child

Left, top row: Rusty in his Olbers. Oliver was a farmer we knew in Kansas, and Rusty (later known as Russell) called his overalls Olbers so he could be like Oliver.
Top right: Rusty (still) and me in Mexia, 1975.
Middle left: Ricky, Randy, Amy, and Rusty; Parker Road in Wylie, 1968. This was about the time (although they either had not yet become ill or had recuperated) that we all had the flu, but no heat or water.
Middle right: Richard and Rusty in Mexia, 1975. This was during Russell's train engineer phase.
Bottom left: The entire family at Juliette Fowler Home in Dallas, where we were houseparents. This was when people kept wanting to adopt Amy and Rusty. Either they just looked pitiful or the others were too old.
Bottom right: Rusty, age 6, Caddo Mills. I have always loved this picture, because it caught his mischievous little smile.
